Buddha bowl with buckwheat

Txeli’s recipe

This is a page created to share, and what better than our recipes and, why not, your recipes so that together we nourish ourselves with good karma and we can have many options of varied recipes, both those that we offer and those that you send us.

A friend of 3vedicas has given us this recipe, a simple one, but very well combined in foods that go great in this winter season, in which we are.

Ingredients:

– 100 gr. buckwheat

– ½  pumpkin

– ½ Broccoli

– 100 gr. of chickpeas

– 1 onion

– 1 clove of garlic

– Freshly grated ginger

– A pinch of turmeric

– Sunflower seeds to taste

– Pumpkin seeds to taste

– A pinch of thyme

– Olive oil

(The quantities are added from 3vedicas but it will be done depending on how many people will eat, to the taste of the consumer).

Preparation

The first thing we will do is prepare each ingredient separately. We cook the buckwheat. On the other hand, cook the chickpeas and then sauté them with well poached onion, garlic, ginger and turmeric. Bake the pumpkin until ready with a dressing of sunflower seeds and pumpkin, thyme and olive oil. Steam the broccoli al dente.

Once the ingredients are done separately, what is left is to put them all together on a plate and serve. Don’t forget that the main key is to do it with love.

Because of the combination of foods in this dish, it goes well with the three doshas; Vata, Pitta and Kapha, in autumn and winter, especially for the pumpkin that is given at these times of year. Vata can season the chickpeas with cumin better than turmeric.
